“I am writing to you to thank you for all of the work that you have done with my son over the last number of months. As you know he suffers with his school due to his autism. Deciding to let him go to your homework club has helped him massively. Along with the help you have provided, he has also become more outgoing. Socially has come on tremendously. You should be very proud of what you have achieved to date and the direction that you are going in. I am very grateful to you and all of the students who has helped his progress and I am looking into seeing if I can bring my other 2 young boys to your homework club next year if possible. Thanks again from me and thank you from my son.”

“My name is Afusatu & my children have attended Gateway to Education Homework club in 2018, and I would like to use this medium to thank you for your support. The homework club as empower them to improved on their school work. Before, they start the homework club there was always stories of homework not done or not completed, but this year there is no such stories any more. The one to one support they received in the club as make the three of them more confident and improved their self esteem. My children and I expect more of these supports next academic year. Thank you I really appreciate.”

“Its a comfort to know that many who feel excluded can have a place to go where their children will get the added support they need. It is no secret that the educational system is designed with a particular ethos and values and sociologists will tell you the system is based on more middle class values which can be at odds with kids coming from a more working class or disadvantaged background. Many children experience school as a place that can alienate them and their experience is not valued or positive there. These children need to have added support. An organisation like yours is really needed to address the imbalances in the system. I for one am deighted this service exists. I dropped out of school very early in secondary school and always regretted it and of course the consequences of that was disastrous career wise. So congratulations and well done to everyone who works wth you. I for one know the value of this service as I had a similar experience also and the added support gave me the safety net I needed and kept me on the right track. Best wishes and I will gladly share this and tell people about the project.”

“This is to appreciate your effort on behalf of my children. It has been a wonderful academic year for them through support they got from the homework club. They have greatly improved on their education based on the homework they attended. Secondly, the one to one they received in the homework club as impacted greatly on their school work and it is also evident in their improvement in their writing, reading skills and vocabulary. On behalf of my children, I’m saying thank you so much for your support throughout the year. Once again thank you and God Bless”.

"Amazing charity that services the Limerick area. It is so worth collecting a carload of perfectly good education books from friends, family, schools and dropping them off here for someone else to use them."
